Meet the Team: Christine Frost, Payroll Manager

This month, we’re talking to Payroll Manager Christine Frost about her role, Fantasy Football success and passion for payroll and gardening.

How did you get into payroll?

“I always wanted to do computer programming or accounting. I got into accounting to start with and then I went to work for a county council. We used to do around 35,000 employees’ payrolls and since then every job I’ve done just seems to be payroll!”

What do you enjoy most about your role as Payroll Manager?

“I really love what I do. I love balancing, I love calculating, I love dealing with people. Most of all, I love that it’s challenging and you don’t get the same thing every day. Every question is different and it makes your brain work all the time.”

How did you get involved with Consortio Security?

“Consortio advertised, I went to the interview and I just got it! They said ‘Can you start tomorrow?’ and I said ‘No, I have to give a notice!’ Consortio is really nice, the people are nice and I love my job. It’s like a family; I say it’s like my second home!

How do you relax after a busy day as Payroll Manager?

“I like gardening. I grow lots of different kinds of flowers and at the back of my garden I grow potatoes, tomatoes, courgettes, cucumber, peas, all sorts! But I love football as well – the Fantasy Football is so fun and I came fifth this year!

What are you most excited to do as lockdown rules begin to lift?

“We’ve started going out with the children to restaurants and it’ll be nice to go on holiday abroad again next year.”

If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be?

“I would love to go to Canada and do a tour from east to west.”
